Malibu Home Skirted tubs also know as Alcove bathtubs - come unfinished on three sides with the front side (apron or skirt) being finished. The alcove sides come with a three sided molded in raised tile flange lip to prevent water intrusion into the wall. Skirted or Alcove tubs come come in left or right hand drain side orientations. Skirted tubs are most often used in a bathroom remodels to replace an old shower/bathtub.
