A molded tile flange is a must whenever you have your bathtub directly touching and or surrounded by walls. IF your walls come down and touch against or sit on the tub deck - a tile flange is highly recommended. This small raised flange acts as a water barrier helping protect water from getting behind the walls where your tub is installed. Factory molded during bathtub manufacture, or can be a metal flange added after manufacture. (Required - Please include diagram/picture indicating which sides of the bathtub you would like flanged).
